I have created several weather scenarios which occur randomly during the week. There will be sunny, rainy and cloudy days up to a day with thunderstorm and lightning. LED's and a Profilux controller made this possible.
Is it a must? Probably not.
Is it nice? All this happens in nature also so why not create it in a reef tank.
As you will see it doesn't bother the fish at all. Business as usual for them.
