Aseel Asleh, a 17-year peace activist and Palestinian citizen of Israel, was killed by Israeli police on October 2nd, 2000, during what became known as "Black October." To mark the ten year-anniversary of his killing, people from all over the world recorded themselves, using web cams, cell phone, or video cameras, reading a thought-provoking letter Aseel had written to his community of Israeli and Palestinian peacemakers two years before he was killed. He titled that letter "Peaceful Thoughts."
