We'd just finished eating doughnuts and let the two birds out of their cages. They both got curious but Charlie got carried away.

i was young.
and my parents couldn't be bothered with it anymore and opened the cage on purpose to let it run away.
and it did.
and they told us kids some random person came into our backyard and let our birds free (we had about 10 different ones in a giant bird cage).
and we believed them.
The bird who took a tumble was one my aunt found randomly in the backyard that had escaped from somewhere so she adopted it. It has issues. It's a nasty, spoilt bird.
i was only around the age of 6.
it was my eldest sister who took it the hardest.
and i'm sure that the bird fell because it's a nasty, spoilt bird and karma doesn't like it.
