    YAYYYY INVISIBLE CHILDREN YAY!!

you guys are too amazing for words. to come from so little and kick USAID's butt in a matter of such little time is something you guys should be EXTREMELY proud of.

and once the war ends and the child soldiers will be able to come home, there needs to be a lot of planning. Not only to keep going w/ the schools for schools program, but rehabilitation centers for the ex child soldiers. This is b/c for many them, being cruel is all they know, and they need a safe environment where they can transition from being joseph kony's machines to healthy, happy, and productive civilians.

Why are they "kicking USAID's butt"? Shouldn't those working for a common cause not try to 'kick each other's butts'?

I meant it as in saying----the Invisible Children organization is doing such an excellent job, considering the fact that it started out w/ jus 3 guys and with their limited resources (as one of the speakers mentioned), they still have done so much in the community. When put it contrast with USAID, the speaker noted, "$40 dollars going to usaid and you dont see anything". So its meant as a praise for them, coming from so little and yet doing such big amazing projects (ex. schools for schools, displace me, the rescue, the power to try, 100 days, book drives, etc) that create positive change the community can see.

i didn't mean it as a matter of competition because it shouldn't be, and Im sure USAID has helped in MANY other projects around the world, but for this case in particular, they need to pick up the pace.

and yes you are right, haha they should work for a common cause and not try to 'kick each other's butts. =) i guess next time i should be more clear in saying what i mean and meaning what i say.
