[David Redhead] So you’re obviously a fan of Stephen Jones?
[Giles Deacon] No, no I don’t like him at all. No, he’s amazing, Stephen. He’s the oracle, as Katy calls him, about so many things to do with every point of design, historical reference, art, you name it, music, he’s there.
[David Redhead] He’s a scholar …
[Giles Deacon] Yeah, he’s a leg end in his own underpants.
[David Redhead] And what is it that makes, it’s one thing being a scholar but what’s he bring that’s special to the hat?
[Giles Deacon] Spontaneity I think is the thing that I love the most with him and his ability just to, he’s like a magician, you know he conjures up the most beautiful things so quickly and rapidly and just takes things into another dimension that you would have never thought imaginable.
[David Redhead] And your own hat?
[Giles Deacon] This was made by Judy Blame this afternoon who’s been working on my show today.
[David Redhead] Spontaneous in itself …
[Giles Deacon] Yeah, indeed, deely-boppers.
[David Redhead] Thanks so much.
