BIG IDEA: Is Christ a weekend visitor a permanent resident of your house?

“It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’” Luke 19:46

The passage of Scripture we are studying today gives us a firsthand look at righteous and holy anger. Following the triumphal entry, Jesus enters the temple begins to clear out the business men and money changers who had turned the temple courts into a modern day strip mall. Jesus refers to the temple as being “my house” and then states that his house is to be a place of prayer, literally a place of communion with God.
