Opera Circus, a British chamber opera touring company, went on a research trip to India to discover more about the themes of their work-in-progress, Naciketa which is based on the Upanishads, ancient India texts. They also wished to research classical musical forms. For the production they sought collaborations with artists, theatres and through their education programme with children and young people.
Nigel Osborne, composer and an expert in using music with communities, and Darren Abrahams, singer and animateur, visited several schools and institutions caring for children. In this Home and school for the blind, Nigel and Darren engaged young teenagers of the school choir in listening, learning and singing a few songs from around the world.
During this flying visit, this film was shot in just a few hours.
