In this lecture Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham, Professor of History and of African and African American Studies at Harvard University, explores the lives of black abolitionists. She examines the diversity of opinion among this group of abolitionists over the topics of women’s rights, voting rights, black nationalism, and the use of violence and moral suasion in their struggle.
