Mindtouch Deki is a platform that allows you embed dynamic content from data silos in your organization and enable your team members to access the data and collaborate effectively. This video gives an overview of what Deki is and walks through one use case of pulling dynamic data from an external web site and embedding it in the wiki.

Roebot 9 months agoThe WYSIWYG editor is hugely significant for data portability reasons too. Specifically, MindTouch stores and operates on XHTML. This means developers will appreciate the ability to toggle into source code view as well as the power and flexibility inherent to standards compliance. To my knowledge, MindTouch, if we consider it a wiki, is the only wiki that uses XHTML. -
Roebot 9 months agoTIP: When I browse extensions, since there are so many included in MindTouch, I often use ctrl-f (built in browser search) to quickly find the extension I'm looking for. -
Roebot 9 months agoThe dapper extension demo is a good one to give people an idea of how easy it is to call external data sources. Users can view external content that is updated dynamically, effectively real-time, or can save a snapshot in time. The built in search engine indexes this dynamic content too.
