Celebrating Gustav Klimt’s 150th birthday the exhibition focuses on chief works from the Leopold Museum’s own collection, accompanied by early works, landscapes and singular loans (mostly his famous landscapes) from important Austrian and international collections, as well as drawings from all periods of his artistic career. The show is complemented by numerous contemporary photographs, items from his own art and furniture collection, personal memorabilia and approximately 400 written documents sent by Klimt to his life’s companion Emilie Flöge. Additionaly part of Klimt’s studio has been reconstructed. Until Aug 27, 2012.
