Hello again! This is footage we shot a couple years back in Lower Manhattan. We used a Canon 814 XL-S super 8 camera. This is DEFINITELY a high end super 8 camera among super 8 cameras. Everything is automatic. All we had to do was load the film. Thats it. Light meter, film gage, whatever you want, this camera does it all. And the footage came out looking spectacular! No way you could have told us that super 8 footage could look like THAT! Again, no filters, just us, the cam, and several cartridges of film, which by the way, we got from Kodak for practically nothing! If we didn't commit to the Red Digital, We wouldn't part ways with this camera. No way. The film transfer came back to us at 4:3. Great experience all around.

What were your light settings? What film did you use?

Great stuff Super 8. I shot my first in the late 1960s, using Fujicolor and Fuji B&W 50 ASA and 200 ASA. We ashot a feature in the 1990s to S8 that was then telecioned in SD to Digital Betacam. It was great in SD 720x480, but would be too grainy for a 720p or 1080p blow-up.
