Me, prattling nonsense in the bg:
"This is the national strike that's happening just outside my window. It's supposed to be a really big deal.
"A very good friend told me I should barricade myself inside today. He said he thinks there'll be police riots. I haven't worked out yet whether ... that'll be the situation. It looks kind of like a carnival.
"WHISTLES."
I recorded this video a few hours ago and wish I had waited until now. Tensions are higher; chants louder; men in yellow vests have formed strategic lines in the crowd. Wouldn't want to step outside at the moment.
