As a teenager, José Hernández spent many years living in Salvadoran refugee camps in Honduras. Meyer Brownstone made repeated trips to those camps as a human rights advocate in the 1980s. Over 25 years later, they met for the first time in a café in downtown Toronto. This is their story.
