I decided to stop by Redstone in LaValle Wisconsin and try out some time-lapse work on the dam/waterfall I had visited in the Summer of 2011. Without leaves giving it ground cover and the fences surrounding the falls, it looked quite a site of pity. The closer I walked to the falls the more my perceptive started to change. Soon I was standing within the rushing water and the falls looming large on front of me and my vision of the falls changed to enjoyment. Occasionally a spray of mist rushed down creek with the wind causing me to cover my equipment. The shoot took me a little over two hours with over 1800 images used in the final video.
I had a nice conversation with Sauk County Park Ranger Matt Steve (I hope I got his name correct) in the parking lot afterwards and he mentioned his love for the lake and the area.
