Thank you Mr. President. I am so TIRED of the nay-sayers (democrat and republican) who want nothing more but for you to fail! I'll stand with you through thick and thin. I understand that we didn't arrive at them ugly moment in our time in just a few months...This was an eight year war against middle America. I understand that this will be and see that it already is one helluva fight. But this is one I'm ready and willing to take with you. All my SUPPORT...x4faith (Mobile, AL)

    Well stated, as always sir.
There are times when it is wise to address the oppositions claims head on, before it spins out of control. The "who knew what when" head hunters are afoot about this AIG bonus. Please set the country straight on this matter once and for all. It is a pathetic distraction to the great things you are about to achieve.

While, I appreciate his clear drive for investments in energy, healthcare, and education, the first falls short of the entire issue, which is America's mobility. In New York state, we're dealing with dilly dallying by our senate who can't figure out how to make stable investments in the mobility of its citizens, particularly New York City's.

While wind power is a worthy direction of investment, renewable energy resources alone not going to make us less dependent on foreign fuels for personal vehicles. For decades, the cries of many citizens for better, cheaper, cleaner mass transit and high speed rail have fallen on deaf ears. Mr. President, please acknowledge the fact that our nation's mobility is the biggest threat to national security, as it encompasses the greatest need for foreign fuels. Stop selling the energy issues short and make explicit your support for better transit - because cars, no matter what fuel they use, are hardly optimal for a majority of the nation, who live in major (sub)urban areas.

I challenge you and anyone else reading this to decry the actions of public officials who stand in the way or waver about investments in mass transit, because no one deserves to sit in traffic, sit on platforms for trains that will never come, pay exorbitant amounts for fuel, or spill blood overseas for the mobility of our nation.
