my new favourite place on earth, soaring high above nowhere...

me and my buddy Ross did a mission to try and fly my PB at Porterville, South Africa on scorching 45 degrees Celsius day early February 2012. the goal was Eendekuil a little nowhere town, roughly 30km as the crow flies flies from Pampoenfontein launch into the flat lands.

awesome day, thermaling high above the farm flatlands, only the 2nd time i really ventured into the flats away from the ridge.

we reached gaol, Ross decided to fly further and score some more XC points, i decided to go land next to the only watering hole for miles, the Eednekuil Hotel ;) needless to say, i was sitting in shade in the pool drinking ice cold beer whilst Ross had to hike back roughly 9km in extreme heat!

he finally joined me an hour later, drenched in sweat, dehydrated and looking a 'little' bit thirsty, after eventually catching a lift from the only random farm truck that drove past the whole day.

eitherway, EPIC day! and nice rewarding ending ;)
