I happened to see an MRI of someone's brain on T.V. and it struck me as very musical. I culled the raw video off of Youtube and set to turning the negative positive, or something. I made the music with Garage Band.

This is an idea that could expand into a nice collaborative piece with high rez images and real musicians... or its just a quick idea.

I hope you'll find some people to do your collaboration. I like the idea. Sometimes it's kind of scary but I like the movement.

The shifting shapes remind me of a Rorschach test, the physical embodiment of a mental map.

It would be really interesting if the scanned head was singing as we pass through it.

Here's a similar video I came across last week:

I love this. Like biological fractal journey. You might like the sci-fi feature I just finished called Living Hell. Check out the trailer on my Vimeo page. It was an indie production that Sci-Fi Channel just bought. Looks slick, but I used very guerilla techniques.

You can pull videos off of youtube?
  • Alex Itin plus 2 years ago
You have to use a program that pulls what's playing off your desktop.

I like this one, visuals and music connect really smooth!

You know the intro of "House MD" (TV-Series with Hugh Laurie)?
  • Alex Itin plus 2 years ago
haven't seen it... but I'll look for it.

It's has some very nice transitions between "oldscool" medical drawings ... i had to think of it, after watching your video.

Great idea. I was thrust threw an MRI little over 2 years ago - I remember my exact words when I was first put in:

Doc (intercom): That OK for you, Matt?
Me: I hope you don't mind my being so blunt, but this brings an entirely original meaning to claustrophobic. I feel like I'm condensed into a black & decker.

I hope you are okay now?

Not too bad these days - thanks for asking! Eventually diagnosed "schizophrenic" - then proved them totally wrong / incompetent.

Entire industry is built on selling tablets, and making billions - sadly..

That sounds very trying. Be well
