Fight Global Poverty
In early 2009, I had the privilege of traveling to the Kwazulu-Natal area of South Africa to witness firsthand some of the realities of extreme poverty and the hope that can emerge with women, men, and children when they are empowered with education and opportunities. This was part of my research for our global poverty initiative we are launching later in 2009: fightglobalpoverty.com.
While I traveled with a group of pastors and I, myself, am a pastor, our vision seeks to change global issues of injustice effecting millions of people regardless of race, culture, sex, age, or religion.
I was a guest of a local South African NGO called Zimele. Please visit their work at zimelecommunity.org as they are doing significant and impressive work.
