Highlights of the Tibi Fall 2012, NYFW by Fashionizer.tv
"The collection had an androgynous edge to it, and, I would even go so far as to say, even a touch of grunge influence – but done with an effortlessly sophisticated, tailored interpretation. The mix of textures, prints, and colors were utterly and completely wearable: chunky, loose knit sweaters, winter whites, burgundies, greens and cobalt blues, floaty chiffon blouses, shining metallics, and blue and black bird prints. Smilovic’s eye for cut and shape allowed for fluid, wide leg trousers and loose, peplum blouses to be anything but overwhelming, and her menswear inspired, double breasted jackets and cropped pants were the collection’s central trend, kept feminine with clean, tailored silhouettes. Pointed collar blouses, with both contrasting trims and cape backs, geometric printed dresses with plunging necklines, and double breasted cocoon coats were among the collection’s standout pieces. In short, Smilovic proves that Tibi is well on its way to becoming a force to be reckoned with" by Olivia Palermo
