This is a compilation of images taken by NASA astronaut Don Pettit from the International Space Station, and then produced as a time-lapse on the ground by the team at the Image Science and Analysis Laboratory, NASA-Johnson Space Center. From inside the Space Station cupola (observatory) Don used a 30 second shutter speed, and a reflective sphere as the Space Station traveled 250 miles above the Earth from central Mongolia to the South Pacific Ocean and from northern China to the South Pacific Ocean.
