7 March 2012: SS Robin, the oldest complete steam coaster in the world, welcomes her first party of VIPs since her return to the Thames last summer. A series of similar visits is planned over the coming months while a £1 million restoration programme is carried out, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. It is proposed to open the historic vessel to the general public in 2013.
