2012

In early January, Lane Shordee and I made this installation as part of "Bump/Shift", a group show curated by Sally Raab at Untitled Art Society's SATELLITE venue.

'Space Bunker' invited viewers to climb into an miniature observatory, close the door behind them, star-gaze all around, and peer through a telescope at a planet far away. A multimedia sculpture and installation, 'Space Bunker' was created from salvaged items (wood, recycled foam, an old firehose door, etc), lenses, a projection, christmas lights, and the space itself (a window box in the SATELLITE gallery).

The planet was created by peering through a long tube (telescope) fitted with several circular lenses and aimed at a swirling projection of food colouring and milk in water.
