Supported by the MAM the piece builds on the powerful and original photography of this renowned Photographers collective to explore the ways in which sound and motion can be used to describe the emotional eb and flow of a community. Using the opportunity of unprecedented freedom to interpret their archive, Alex conceived and constructed a moving narrative of contemporary lives recorded in the first person yet shaped by the gaze of an onlooker. As in previous projects music was of key importance to Alex, working closely with Guab from the earliest stages to direct a sound track that would map the emotional landscape of the piece.
