The re-brand of AETN prompted an initiative to rebrand the History Channel
and its new counterpart channel, Military History. Often a subject marred by the preconception of facts and figures, History now reconnects the past with the
present and reminds us of its ongoing pertinence in everyday life. Using shadows, the concept demonstrates the tangibility of history as well as its ability to entertain, inspire and educate. The aim of the idents was to bring the past to the present and encourage an emotional connection to viewers.
I produced this work whilst employed as a designer at Dunning Penney Jones.
