I received a basic LEGO Mindstorm NXT kit from LEGO Education, and thought it might be fun to build a robot with my 6 year-old daughter. Sure enough, we had a blast, but not nearly as much fun as I had when she asked if she could come up with her own program for the robot after we tried a few sample programs. She did a great job, and we're already thinking about what we want to make the robot do next weekend.
