About the Nashville 9
In the first nine days of November 2008, four longtime friends undertook an ambitious project that explored storytelling, the artistic process, and the Nashville, Tennessee community. They called it The Nashville 9. Assisted by a grassroots collective of Nashville cast, crew and musicians, the foursome worked in frenetic 24-hour cycles to turn Nashvillians' freshly told stories into written songs and scenes that were immediately recorded and filmed. Each day, one story sparked one song and one scene. The result after nine days: an album featuring the nine songs recorded by different Nashville artists and producers, and a short film comprising the nine scenes shot at various Nashville locations.
