On May 15, 2010, over 50 participants joined Trails Project artists Susan Robb, Paul Rucker and Stokley Towles for an experiential three-mile walk on Soos Creek Trail in King County. For the walk, Stokley and Susan created “Caribou: a walking game”. They invited participants of all ages to pick one of 50 Caribou card-suggestions such as: “Listen closely to identify nine sounds. Make your own sound to round out the list.” or “Gather five objects smaller than your hand and arrange them on the ground.” or “1. Walk as if you own this land (20 paces). 2. Walk as if you are a visitor (20 paces). 3. Walk as yourself (for as long as you like).”
