It has one-way bearings in the pedals, so they will free-spin in one direction. If you get spun around going backwards though, they don't free-spin that way, so they'll beat your shins up quick.

Only mod so far is moving the seat further back than it normally will so I can (almost) fit. Still need to move it back a little further. Another benefit to sitting further back will be taking more weight off the front wheel, so I can spin around on the rear wheels and do 360s. Gotta be careful about flipping over backwards though. =)
