The same engine as previous Tracker but with extended movement and paint style.
Thanks to Justin from blog.soulwire.co.uk for animation assets again.

    very nice!
saw the same idea last week on soytuaire.labuat.com

Yep the idea is pretty old but implementations are always different. I don't use music for movement but real photo colors. Also it was recorded in fully automatic mode but it supports user interactive drawing too.

    wow looking nice!
are the animations done in flash? are they customizable?
any chance to play around with this?

    Thanx!
What animations are you talking? Animation assets provided by Justin as I mentioned above. If you are talking about Tracker animation of lines/ribbons it was completely created in Flash AS3 but I haven't released sources yet. There is small engine preview at my blog:

yes was talking about the animation assets. do you load them in the same way as the picture or are they 'embeded' in the tracker?
would be nice to use as a customizable live vj tool!
  • Eugene Zatepyakin 8 months ago
I've embeded them in tracker for faster load and start process. I suppose you can contact Justin and ask him for this assets. I'm sure sure he wont say no :)

the assets are nice, but i'm more interested in being able to use the tracker with my own assets ;)

Excellent work, as usual :) and animated brushes looks so stylish!

Have you some ideas about methods of animation driving? (attractors it`s so boring for me :)

    I explain:
Right now I`m fool around а video processing, motion tracking, contour finding and etc. So my mind is just fixed on this stuff.
First toughs when i see your works sounds like this: "Cool, and what if we use a video–sequence as reference? Probably we get something nice and dynamic..."

So if you are interested in an evolution of your work in this direction – just ping me, i will glad to assist you :)

It`s probably must look like this:
    1. capture video stream with opencv
    2. process with opencv to get some data
    3. draw & animate with opengl
    4. write back to video with opencv again

    example:
