Here is another experimental video of mine. I've been on this kick where I capture footage from different places at different times, and I find new meaning in them when I string them together through one thread, revealing a story that did not exist when the footage was being shot. I took these videos in the moment with no thought or intention in mind, other then experiencing what it was that I saw right then and there.
This video draws from footage I've gathered from: The Museum of Jurassic Technology, midnight driving in the hills of Orinda, and still winter nights next to the many rivers and lakes of Austin, Texas. The video ends with footage of my brothers experiencing a fire, not unlike their Zoroastrian ancestors many many centuries ago.
The music is once again another jam session that involves me on the setar, Jahanshah Ardalan on the tanbur, and Jason Ditzian on the Clarinet.
I've been using very basic tools to create these experimental videos, such as Garageband & a basic handheld camera.
I dedicate this video to the Persian new years - Vernal Equinox.
Just 'being' is the quest.
