A study commissioned by the Capitol Riverfront BID and performed by RCLCO examined development from 2000-2010 and within a 1/4 mile radius of Metorail stations between the Petworth and Navy Yard stations in Washington, DC. The results were presented at the Capitol Riverfront BID's annual meeting held on January 12, 2012. The findings indicate that the Green Line Corridor study area captured more young professional households than any other Metro corridor in DC and also more than the Rosslyn-Ballston corridor in Arlington, VA during the 2000s. The study also suggests that jobs locating along the Green Line are driven by private sector employment including law, finance, insurance, and real estate.
