Edited from a 1950s film on insomnia, sourced from Archive.org. The original score was brash with a booming voice over and I aimed to bring a subtlety to the imagery. My objective was to highlight the struggle to be set free from a great burden, in celebration of the man the song is named for.
Bourne/Davis/Kane is one of the most acclaimed improvised jazz trios in the UK, having played gigs all across Europe during their 10 years together. Their album 'The Money Notes' is available on Foghorn Records.
