Very nice footage..... Well i guess Im selling Brevis35 to the Letus35 Elite
  •
  • What was your settings, when you filmed the car turning towards the camera. The Letus 35 was not on? if so How did you get to focus on everything?

Thanks, I only have the budget right now for the Letus 35 Extreme =8(
  • Gustavo Nasr 2 years ago
Well, I had my lens on F5.6 (All the Elite can handle). The Letus was on and everything on the scene was close to infinity. The only diference between the Extreme and the Elite is back focus. I think you can live without that for a while and buy the back focus later.

    it's the elite worthed ?
or just pick a extreme sir?
what advantage with letus elite sir ?

    thanks for info.:)
  • Gustavo Nasr 2 years ago
Sure it is worthed. It has back focus adjustment and better achromat lens. These features aside, it is just and extreme on esteroids. If you buy the EX1/3 optimization kit you get the better achromat. But as I said before, you can live without some features for a while and buy the addons later.

the vignetting sucks...i always hated those adaptors for vignetting so much. what i like is your grading..nice work.

We Agree with your comments fully.

The adapter itself really doesn't show any vignetting, but the lens does. Anyway, I think I could have zoomed in a little further.

i can't believe a 135mm lens comes off with visible vignetting, moreover lensvignetting itself is circular...all the vignetting of the letus adaptors result from the square ground glass window...so it is quadrangular.
i used the letus for a commercial and the vignetting is just unnatural...but ok it's the best adaptor for the ex1 or the ex3. i also tested p+s 35mm adaptor and the biggest problem is that you can't stop down to F4 without making the ground glass visible...and i hate to use lenses with a wide open iris. anyway i achieved the best results when i fixed the zoom of the ex1 between 40 and 81mm and stoped down the 35mm lenses to T2.8 on a letus extreme...

Maybe you're right, but it doesn't seem to vignette when there's no lens on the Letus, just looking at the gg.

    Olá Gustavo;
Muito bom seu trabalho, a cinematografia está perfeita parabéns!.
Tenho uma ex3 também, mas ainda não consegui tirar o máximo dela, mas deu para ver que um bom presset manual mais a letus, fica imagem de cinema.
    Valeu

really nice, please wath tipe oF PP, did you use, a mean, matrix, gamma, black gamma, knee, and more, im having some issues wiht the picture profiles.
  • Gustavo Nasr 1 year ago
Hey Lukas, I tried to film it pretty flat, so I could play with it in post.
    Settings I remember by heart:
Matrix Off, Detail On at 0, Gamma Cine 4(Interiors) Cine 1(exteriors), Black -3, Shutter at 180, Gain 0. I might have tweaked the gamma levels and low key saturation, but I really don't remember.

Gustavo this it is a great video
I came from a photographers family and I love to see how this components help to give to the video a really photographic look...
Please tell me: with a normal camera like JVC GY-HM700UXT or Canon XF305 it is not possible to make this effect?

And with this adapter, can I use my old lens leica or pentax ????

what do you think about the new Panasonic AG-AF100?
    Best Regards

    G.

You would probably come out well with the cameras you mentioned with proper color correction, maybe with less background defocus.
I think letus have mounts for almost every lens and you could use yours. Tanks for watching.
