1. The Huichol Center: A model for cultural survival
2 years ago
This documentary was produced to support The Huichol Center. The Center helps the Huichol people of Mexico maintain their culture, art and spirituality. The Huichols have been almost untouched by modern civilization, and have been able to maintain their ancient ways despite crushing poverty and disease.

I met Susana in Sayulita and am impressed with her dedication. I'd like people to know how they can make a tax deductible contribution to the foundation to assist in preserving the Huichol culture. Shortly I will be returning to Sayulita to lend my professional talents to Susana's work.

Since the Huichol Center is a 501c3 charitable organization, donations can be made tax deductible. The easiest way to donate is to go to the donations section of their website:

Hi, I'm truly amazed by the great work you're doing to preserve this beautiful, ancient, rich and deep culture of the Wixarika people. Thank-you very much for sharing this wonderful and insightful video! :-) Also, I have emailed Susanna directly to offer my services and support.
