In a classroom resembling a typical architectural firm, students will be immersed in the world of Architectural Technology. They will learn what’s required to design a building with computer-aided design (CAD) technology from practicing architects. Students will learn to work effectively with architects and engineers to produce construction drawings for use by contractors.
New students are accepted into this program for fall and spring semesters. Courses are taught on MCTC’s main campus.
Architectural Technology Diploma—64 credits

Students will get hands-on experience and instruction from experienced teachers about all the aspects of electrical wiring and systems for commercial, industrial and residential buildings.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
No matter how bad the economy gets, homeowners and businesses always need technicians trained in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVAC-R). MCTC provides hands-on learning to prepare you for a high paying career in HVAC-R. Knowledgeable instructors will give you the training you need in an industry that is challenging and fun.
Students may only start in the fall semester unless you are a transfer student or have previous experience in the HVAC-R field. The HVAC-R program is located on the main campus in the T Building.

Machine Tool Technology
The Machine Tool Technology Program gives you a solid foundation of machining plus personal attention that helps you work at your own pace. Through hands-on experiences and opportunities to work on team projects, you will learn everything you need to know in order to work in the metals manufacturing and processes industry.

Welding and Metal Fabrication
Long considered an art form, metalworking is a hands-on creative learning experience where you solve problems with your mind and body. MCTC's Welding and Metal Fabrication program provides you with the technical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to gain entry-level employment with manufacturing plants and various other industries.
Classes start in both Fall or Spring. The location is in the Technical building.
