This video was to test the Tiffen 72 mm graduated filter. The filter is necessary to prevent the sky from overexposing. In the opening and closing shots, we used no filter at all and you can see how blown out the image was. After that, we used the filter on all the shots; however, because the graduated filter only corrects for the top half of the frame, we still got overexposure on the white water. No color correction was done in post. Shot 24 p, 100 iso, 50 fps, pre-set sun wb, matte box on a t3i. If you are going to be filming a significant amount of white water in the bottom half, then it is probably best to go with a full ND filter.
