STORY
This production is the final version of an old Sterkenburg / de Vries music video, who back then yet worked under the pseudonym 'an Industrialbirds / Groenteboer production'. That first movie may be regarded as the beginning of the film duo Sterkenburg / de Vries.
The raw footage was shot in the partially abandoned industrial zone of Drachten. In this final version was chosen for a number of edits with the intention to give the film an old and grainy look, suggesting a narrative character.

I wish I had a camera that made images like this instantly, but this is a result of extensive post. This was actually the first video I ever made, but first it was just an unedited version, because I knew nothing yet of the possibilities. Like six months later I discovered magic bullet looks and this was the first project where I experimented with. In the end I didn't even apply a look, but only did hue and level correction in premiere and applied the misfire effects that come with the looks suite. Here's the old version at my old account without any effects, it's quite funny to see the difference: (only a different opening shot)
