The people of Los Angeles come to meet the giant LACMA rock, bound for the museum where it will become part of Michael Heizer's huge outdoor sculpture, 'Levitated Mass.'

On March 10, 2012 the 340-ton rock made its way along Wilshire Boulevard as part of an extraordinary 4:00 am procession. But prior to that night neighborhoods all along the rock's 105-mile journey came out to enjoy the spectacle. This documentary shows the people of South Los Angeles engaging the rock and each other with curiosity and very focused creative energy.

The music is by Kevin MacLeod (incompetech.com), including 'Colossus' (ISRC: US-UAN-11-00358) and 'Majestic Hills' (ISRC: US-UAN-11-00423). Music is licensed as Creative Commons 3.0 Attribution.
