Music: "Yekermo Sew" (Mulatu Astatke Remix) Featuring Dustin Warren by Te'Amir

Inspired by the history, culture and people of Ethiopia as well as the shared history and struggle of African Americans, the video is a tribute to the "fighters" from the Civil Rights, Black Power to the African liberation/anti-colonialism movements. It also is a testament to the great connections between African Americans and the African Diaspora and especially, Ethiopians, as well as other people of African descent. This is my tribute to not only the Ethiopian people, but also to those who have resisted and fought back against invasion, racism, white supremacy, colonialism and oppression.

Special Thanks to Te' Amir for allowing me to visualize this dope track and of course to the great Ethiopian musician and inventor of Ethio-jazz, Mulatu Astatke.

The Remix of Mulatu Astatke's famous "Yekermo Sew" track from the album "Mulatu" was eleased with Mochilla's TIMELESS Box Set in March of 2010. Written and Performed by Dustin Warren. Produced by Te'Amir.
