The work presented at TEI addresses HCI issues, design, interactive art, user experience, tools and technologies, with a strong focus on how computing can bridge atoms and bits into cohesive interactive systems. The intimate size of this single-track conference provides a unique forum for exchanging ideas and presenting innovative work through talks, interactive exhibits, demos, hands-on studios, posters, art installations and performances.
At TEI Barcelona we want to encourage the commercial, academic and open source communities to submit and present their various tools and platforms in the hope to further support and accelerate the technical and conceptual development in the field. Second there will be a perceptive penchant for musical, artistic, creative and cultural applications.
Audience: TEI goes beyond state of the art research, being of interest to all academic levels (undergraduate, master and PhD), and within different contexts (computer science faculty, cognitive science, digital Media and digital arts masters, etc.). Thus, a community of about 250 attendees comprising students and young international researchers as well as consolidated researchers around the world and coming from many different backgrounds (computer scientists, artists, musicians, psychologists, etc.) will be attending and are highly enthusiastic about TEI.
