2. Play It Kershaw | Video: David Last | Music: Someone Else
8 months ago
This is a music video that was commissioned by the Foundsound techno label. This is my first video with hand-drawn animations (each frame is a unique drawing). Every layer of this video was painstakingly hand-crafted frame by frame using Flash and Final Cut Pro. The label was looking for another video like my previous camcorder footage videos. They found it overall too experimental, and didn't include it with the release of the single.

Since then, the video has become an underground favorite though it was never officially released, and played at the AFX festival in Amsterdam in 2007.

Warning, this is a flashing video, fitting into the history of "flicker" pieces in experimental film and video. As such, there are lots of flashing colors. IF YOU HAVE PHOTOSENSITIVE EPILEPSY, do NOT watch this video. There is a warning at the beginning.

i also use final cut pro, all my frames are produced first in Image Ready animation program (part of adobe CS2).

Ah man, this is great. INTENSE. I'm surprised they said it was too experimental for a techno track! Tchuh!

    Nice one, Mr Last!
