Superintendent Dr. Valerie Kelsey presented the 2012-13 budget proposal during the district's second community budget forum on March 19.
School officials have been working with community members to shape the $41,925,000 proposal, which includes approximately $340,000 in reductions districtwide and increases spending by $154,000—less than half a percent increase over the current year's budget. It carries a tax levy increase of 1.94 percent.
The school board is scheduled to adopt the 2012-13 budget proposal on Monday, April 16, which will go before voters on Tuesday, May 15.
