And the rockets' first gleam
60+ students from my school took an all-day fieldtrip to attend a rally in favor of Alabama Constitutional Reform. Alabama's Constitution is the longest in the world, with over 360,000 words and 770 amendments. Read more about the Alabama Constitution here.
The guy singing the National Anthem at the rally clearly didn't know the words. Right after Carolyn cut the clip, he sang "But our flag...it was still there." An extra syllable and everything!
In case you're a bit fuzzy on your National Anthem lyrics (after all, many of us just confirm and deny), here they are: "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there."
