The away leg of the Setanta Cup Quarter Final against Cliftonville was a very difference experience for the Hoops from the first. While still managing to keep control of the ball for the majority of the time, Cliftonville showed themselves to be a different team to the one that had visited Tallaght. Scoring a goal in each half put Cliftonville level with Rovers, and that led to extra time and then to penalties. The Hoops' keeper became the match hero, managing two direct saves while Cliftonville saved none, leading to an overall win for Rovers who will now meet Derry City FC in the semi-finals.
