A portrait of Auckland through time lapse photography. The tower is the Sky Tower. This is a video to share some of the beauty of this city, showing it from a different perspective of time, to enhance so many things that happen around us and we are not aware of because our general perception of a place is usually in a different time beat. I suggest watching this a few times, as each scene is full of details, like the people, the animals, boats, cranes, ships, clouds and so on!

I would like to make it clear that at the moment I write this, I do not hold the copyrights to use this track, and that I am in the process of getting the permission from the copyrights owner to use this song to be the soul of this time lapse clip.

Technical info:
All the scenes are made up of hundreds or sometimes thousands of still photos (just to clarify, as some people might think these are just "fast forward videos").
Time interval between the photos varied between 2 and 10 seconds.
Most of the scenes were shot in HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography, and in this case to compose each frame three photos were used. Each frame lasts 1/25 of a second on this video. Meaning that basically for each second of this video, 75 photos were taken and edited together. More than 17,000 individual photos were used to compose this.
The tilt/shift lens effect present in some scenes was simulated in post production (Yes, of course i would prefer to have a tilt/shit lens.)

Camera: Canon 60D
Lens: EF-S 18-135mm, EF 50mm
