The Extra wide extra high bridge over the river and Highway 1, built in the latter part of the 21st century has become Obsolete. Since gas costs $80.00 a gallon, and the streets of Santa Cruz are underwater, nobody uses the freeways and extra wide city streets any more. If only the city planners of 2012 had invested in sustainable transit instead, we could have avoided the wasteful construction projects that caused climate change.
