    this is interesting cut - so many shots are reminiscent of something, or another like the building/balcony shot at 1:45 made me think of Quays In Absentia of course the title immediately recalls Marker's classic Sans Soleil but your movie is entirely different. Very nice visuals. Audio is great as well.

    The title is based upon Scanner soundtrack. The video has nothing to do with Marker's work, as you also figured out. The music inspired me to create this work, as I wanted to keep the images as dark and 'unsettling' as possible, and to relate with the sounds.

    My understanding of light isnt that smashing though, as of most of the super8 films I made, this film was the only one that came out well. All the other films were all bleached out from too much light. Also this edit I am not perfectly happy with at all. I feel it's not finished, as this was mainly a first cut/sketch to be honest, but Robin liked it and wanted to have this supporting his new album release..

    Maybe I will change some of the seq. some day though, if I find the time and energy to do so...

    hi epi demic, this work has nothing to do with the original sans soleil movie. -the soundtrack by scanner was called like this, therefore the videoclip carries this title.
