Simple frame differencing while throwing palette animation and other artifacts in the mix. Runs smooth at 60 fps.
This is a proof of concept for an art installation that will use a video projector and a webcam tuned on near infrared frequencies (modified webcam and infrared lamp).
I'm planning to improve this a lot by adding all sort of trippy patterns, particle animations and other distortions. Also maybe I'll add some sound reactiveness and/or input buttons.
