This is the first of 4 spots I concepted, wrote and CD-ed for Volkswagen in 2006/07. The brief was: Find a way to highlight the outstanding safety ratings for both Jetta and Passat in a way that feels both real and unflinching. Well, the campaign blew up in both the press and culture and lots of people flinched. But lots of cars sold too. In fact, two of my sons ended up buying Jettas. No coincidence.
