anticlimax for me... i thought the cork scene was too long... but a lot of people seem to like it so you doing something right!

Wow the bowling ball was awesome!! I was sure the egg was gonna be crushed... and then it wasn't. :D

Really awesome shots. But I agree the cork scene was too long. I would've sped the first part up (it's very hard to even see the cork moving) and then make it as slow as possible on the hit.

One part of humor is when something unexpected happens. Or when something expected does NOT happen.

This video really contains that when the egg doesn't get crushed by the bowling ball.

And then the double take on the champagne bottle, First you expect the cork to blow, but then when it doesn't after a while you start to look to see that in fact it doesn't move at all, so it won't blow. But in the end....

That's right. After unexpected first shot I expected the hammer won't hit it, but unexpectly it expected I will expect the hammer... mmm...you know
  • chris beddoe 4 months ago
I was surprised when the bowling ball missed, it was like watching a penalty kick being missed. Then I wasn't sure if I should be expecting the hammer to miss. Cork scene is great. I could watch plenty more of this.

I see it as "life is fragile".
    Sometime catastrophe misses. (bowling ball)
Sometimes it slams right into you. (hammer)
And sometimes it takes forever. (bottle)
But death comes for us all.

That's a simplistic rendition of my thoughts on the video.

Wonderful ideas! I LOVED the bowling ball, it was awesome. Watching it rolling in slowly, I didn't realize at the first couple of seconds that is was slow motion. Then it starts climbing the cutting board... That was great, made me smile! ... and then the egg!! Even better.
I also liked the composition and colors a lot.

I understand that these were 3 different pieces put together roughly. May I suggest that you edit them as one piece, with no abrupt gaps, and with one consecutive soundtrack.

Great idea. Ya cork takes too long, but there is suspense there for sure. I was thinking what would happen if the bowling ball was moved to the end!?
Another thought...the egg rolls off a table and falls quite some time to build suspense.
